ARC Browser on Mac - How to Use & Create an Account?
Hello everyone! In this video, I'm going to show you how to install ARC Browser on your Mac and guide you through creating an account. ARC Browser is a new web browser that aims to replace Chrome and offers a wide range of features. You can download ARC Browser from arc.net and choose the version that suits your browser needs. While there's an iOS app available, ARC Browser primarily functions as a Mac app.
To get started, download the ARC DMG file and open the ARC installer in your downloads folder. Simply drag the ARC icon to your Mac's application folder and add ARC to your dock. If you also have the iOS app, you can scan the provided QR code to link your devices. Once the installation is complete, find ARC in your applications folder and open it.
Upon opening ARC, you'll be greeted with a visually appealing introduction. To create an account, you'll need to enter your name, email, and password. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up and configure your account preferences. ARC offers a seamless transition from your previous browser by allowing you to import bookmarks from Chrome and Safari. You can also select a color theme and decide if you want to block ads.
Another noteworthy feature of ARC is the option to make it your default browser. This ensures that all web links automatically open in the ARC Browser. With ARC, you can enjoy a customized browsing experience. The browser offers several advanced features such as split view, mini players, and custom shortcuts. These features cater to users who desire a more enhanced browsing experience.
Once you've logged in, you'll notice the main interface of ARC. Quick links to your profile and imported bookmarks are readily accessible. You can visit websites, as you would with any browser, and explore ARC's features. Navigating through different settings is also straightforward.
ARC Browser comes with extensive settings and customization options. You can make it your default browser, sync your sidebar with iCloud, archive tabs, manage your data, and adjust the search engine. There are also various keyboard shortcuts to improve productivity.
A unique feature in ARC Browser is the ability to create multiple spaces. These spaces act as separate browsing environments, allowing you to organize your web activities efficiently. You can assign a name and icon to each space, which makes switching between them effortless.
If you enjoy taking notes while browsing, ARC Browser offers an Easel feature. Easel serves as a digital scrapbook, enabling you to capture web content, add annotations, and easily share your creations. Boosts, another exciting feature, allows you to personalize websites with different layouts, colors, and fonts.
Overall, ARC Browser provides users with a vast array of features and customization options. It is an innovative browser that caters to those seeking a more advanced browsing experience. Explore the various options, experiment with its functionalities, and arrange your web activities efficiently using ARC Browser.
Before concluding, it's worth mentioning that some tabs are set to automatically archive after 12 hours. However, you can adjust this duration in the preferences according to your preference. Additionally, ARC Browser offers extensions imported from Chrome and provides a helpful help section.
