BOLT bike sharing app - FULL OVERVIEW & HOW TO USE. My experience

Are you tired of being stuck in traffic or paying high prices for taxis? BOLT bike sharing app is the solution for you! This app offers not only bikes, but also scooters and cars. In this blog post, I will share my experience on how to use the Bolt bike sharing app in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Firstly, it is important to note that there are competitors to BOLT bike sharing app, such as Lime and TIR. However, in my personal experience, I prefer to use Lime for electric bicycles and BOLT for regular bicycles. When you select a bicycle through the app, it will show you the location and battery charge percentage. The minimum expected range is around 18 kilometers. It is crucial to check the battery charge percentage because the bike might stop in the middle of your ride if the battery is too low. Compared to Lime bikes, BOLT bikes are less glitchy, which is a definite plus.

Although BOLT bikes might feel less comfortable than Lime bikes, the app rarely has glitches, making it more reliable. Moreover, unlike other bike-sharing apps, BOLT allows its users to park its bicycles anywhere, which is perfect for cities with perfect cycling infrastructure like Copenhagen. With this app, you don't need to return the bike to a designated parking area, making it more convenient for the user.

The price range for BOLT bike sharing app varies according to the city you are in. In Copenhagen, it costs around 10 Danish crowns to unlock the bike and 225 kroner per minute of usage. Typically, a 10-15 minute biking ride costs around 40 Danish kroner. Suppose you're planning on riding for 30 minutes or more. In that case, it's better to choose another bike type since this can become expensive.

BOLT has additional features, such as setting the maximum bike speed, reporting issues, and using the safety toolkit. You can also use the 'ring to find' feature if you can't locate the bike on the map. Another new feature of Bolt bike sharing app is the monthly pass, which costs 268 Danish krona. This pass allows you unlimited unlocks and 30 minutes of daily use.

Moreover, users can set up a business account for BOLT and get paid receipts and expense reports for work-related rides. The Bolt app also has the option to refer your friends and get 50% off your next trip.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this app to anyone living in or visiting Copenhagen. BOLT bike sharing app is the perfect solution for those who want a quick, affordable ride while also enjoying the freedom of parking anywhere without the hassles of designated parking areas. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed!
