How to disable Telegram stories?

Telegram, the popular messaging app, introduced the Stories feature in order to keep up with the trend of sharing ephemeral content. However, not everyone is an avid fan of Stories and may find them to be intrusive or unnecessary. If you're one of those people and want to know how to disable Telegram Stories, we've got you covered.

To disable a story that you have posted, simply tap on it. This can be done by going to the settings located in the bottom right of your screen. From there, tap on your profile icon and in the very bottom right corner, you'll find a trash icon. Tapping on it will give you the option to delete the story. By deleting the story, it will no longer be visible to others.

Another option to remove a story from your profile is to tap on it and then select "remove from profile." This option allows you to keep the story without it being visible on your profile. However, it's important to note that disabling the feature completely is not possible through the app's settings.

Although you can't completely remove the Stories feature from your menu, the presence of the feature itself is not overly intrusive. It appears as a small plus icon, which some users may find to be less bothersome compared to other social media platforms.

It's worth mentioning that while some people appreciate and use Telegram Stories, others find them to be unnecessary. Telegram, after all, is primarily known as a messaging app rather than a platform for sharing temporary content like Snapchat or Instagram. The Stories feature might not align with everyone's preferences or the way they use the app.

In conclusion, if you're bothered by Telegram Stories and want to disable them, the app provides some options to manage and remove stories you have posted. However, completely getting rid of the Stories feature from your menu is not possible. Nonetheless, the small plus icon associated with Stories is relatively unobtrusive and should not pose a significant nuisance for most users.
