Taskade overview
Here is an overview of Taskade – amazing free project management tool.
It has some simplicity of Trello, but compared to Trello – much more visual and advanced.
Let’s dive in!
How to create an account in Taskade?
You can create account either with Google login or email. No credit card required. Fast and easy.
Then, after some helpful onboarding tips, you are presented with this screen.
This is your main Taskade dashboard.
On the left sidebar you will see:
- Search
- Recent projects
- Activity
- Calendar (you can sync with your favorite calendar provider)
- Starred items
How to create a task in Taskade?
In top right go to New.
The cool part about Taskade is that you can create different visual overviews easily.
Select from:
- List
- Board
- Action
- Mindmap
- OrgChart
Ok, let’s go with the simplest option – List.
Here is an overview of basic task management layout in Taskade.
My project is called “Marketing campaign #1”.
To add members to this project, tap on the plus icon in the top right.
I can easily add tasks below.
I can also add checklists, numbered or bullet-points lists, paragraphs and so on.
So, for example, I just created a bullet list for my paid campaigns.
One of the best features about Taskade is that you can easily transform one visual layout into another. For example, move from List to MindMap or OrgChart and vice versa.
Here is the above project in MindMap view. I transformed it with one click!
Also, on the right side there is a chat. So, you don’t need to combine Slack with Taskade, you can communicate right in the tool.
It is possible to @mention someone or attach files in Taskade chat.
One can also start a team call.
By the way, if you want a better chat username, of course you can easily change it. And upload a better profile picture, so your colleagues can easily recognize you.
To invite other team members to Taskade, just go to Invite button in the top right.
You can invite users by Email, Username or by copying invite link.
To create a new workspace, on the left sidebar click a plus icon.
Shortcuts
Taskade has plenty of shortcuts, which can help you to become a super user.
Taskade – alternative to Trello?
As I have already mentioned above, Taskade and Trello are somewhat similar in the simplicity approach to task management.
You don’t spend time on creating task schedules, but actually do them.
But, what I like about Taskade – more visual templates, like MindCap, OrgChart, Board, List, Action – where you can organize your tasks in a different way, not just KanBan.
Taskade – alternative to Asana?
Compared to Asana, Taskade is much “easier to digest tool”. 🙂
First, when you sign up to Asana, you need to answer dozens of onboarding questions, then Asana interface is quite confusing at first. Also, Asana is much more expensive.
Taskade pricing
All features described above are available under free plan.
If you want to upgrade, Taskade pricing is super simple – $5 per user per month.
For more detailed feature comparison, head over to Taskade pricing page.
P.S. To enable dark mode, just go to your profile in top right and toggle the switch.
This is a super fast overview, with just basic features. In fact, Taskade is a quite advanced project management tool and there is much more to explore.
