Recently, there has been buzz surrounding the Night mode feature in StandBy iOS 17. To clear things up, we’ve investigated and found out what this feature is all about.
First and foremost, StandBy can be found in the settings app. Once located, there is an option for Night mode. But what exactly is Night mode? Essentially, it provides a red tint that is accompanied by low ambient lighting. The result is a filter that makes looking at your phone easier on your eyes without a harsh, bright white screen. This feature appears when your phone is in horizontal position and is charging overnight.
Aside from aesthetic purposes, Night mode also includes a Motion to Extend feature. This will activate the display when motion is detected during the night. Talk about a convenient added bonus!
Still not quite sure what to expect when enabling Night mode? We’ve got you covered. We’ve included some screenshots for you to see exactly how Night mode will look. As seen in the images, the filter creates a reddish tint for easier viewing at night, and is clearly visible in StandBy mode.
