Why are there contacts in your Gas app polls?

so when you just sign up in the gas app and you don't have that many friends or your school doesn't have that many members uh you might see your contacts in the polls so you gave access from your iPhone contacts and then you can see like you know your parents your colleagues your work colleagues like in this polls and of course you can just freak out like what's happening but this is just some some feature from this app and as I say don't worry select any contacts in polls doesn't send them a text message we'll never send text without your permission if you'd like to remove contacts from your post add more friends uh so that's basically what they say here uh yeah so that's what it is at the moment um yeah hope uh that is uh that is helpful
