How to POST A VIDEO BEREAL?

Hi everyone, I have a quick guide on how to post a video on BeReal. Before we dive into it, I'd like to mention that this is a new update that will be released soon, but it's not available to everyone just yet. To make sure you can access this feature, head over to the App Store and update your BeReal app. However, please note that even after updating, it may still take around two weeks for the update to reach all users. So, if you don't see the option right away, don't worry - it should be available around New Year's or thereabouts.

To post a video on BeReal, follow these steps:

  1. Open the BeReal app and navigate to the post creation screen.
  2. In the top right corner, you will see a button labeled "BTS" (Behind the Scenes). By default, it will be toggled off.
  3. When the BTS feature is enabled, a few seconds of video recording will be added to your BeReal. This means that when you take a BeReal photo, a short video clip will also be recorded.
  4. Once you have recorded your BeReal with the BTS feature, both the photo and the accompanying video will be attached to your BeReal post.
  5. In the BeReals feed, you will notice a play icon overlaid on the BeReal thumbnail. Simply tap on it to view the short video clip before it transitions into your BeReal photo.

It's important to note that these behind-the-scenes videos are intended to be short and add a glimpse of what goes into creating your BeReal. You cannot post 60-second videos or directly upload videos from your camera roll. This feature focuses on capturing a brief moment right before you take your BeReal shot.

If you prefer not to include the BTS video clip in your BeReal, you can disable the BTS feature in the settings.

Please keep in mind that the availability of this feature may vary depending on your location. It's always a good idea to check back periodically or keep an eye out for any announcements from BeReal regarding the feature's availability in your country.

Though this specific update is not yet available to my account, there are reports from TikTok users who are already sharing examples of their BeReal posts with the behind-the-scenes video clips.

BeReal is constantly evolving and trying out new features to keep users engaged. This recent addition highlights their ongoing effort to enhance the app with unique functionalities. And the best part is that you don't need a paid subscription to access these features.

So, once the update becomes available to you, give it a try and see how the BTS feature can add a creative touch to your BeReal posts. Happy creating!
