Microsoft Copilot App - How to Use? Full Overview GPT-4, DALL•E 3

The Microsoft Copilot app, developed by Microsoft, has finally been released for iOS. This app serves as a complete alternative to the OpenAI ChatGPT app and is currently even higher in the charts. But what sets it apart? One key feature is that Microsoft Copilot offers free access to GPT-4 and DALI-3, whereas the official ChatGPT app requires an upgrade to access these models. With Microsoft Copilot, there's no need to create an account. You can simply open the app and toggle on GPT-4, the newest model. For DALI-3, which is used for image creation, all you need is a Microsoft account. Microsoft Copilot seems to be a direct competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT app.

So how does the app work? Once you open it, you have access to the chat feature where you can start messaging. However, there are some limitations on the number of messages available. In the top-left corner, you'll find the account section, where you can sign in with your existing Microsoft account to gain access to the app's features. You can copy conversations to the clipboard and even generate images using DALI-3, all while being on the free version. This integration with Bing search engine enables you to quickly find relevant information and explore various links.

The app also offers different tones for your conversations. You can choose between more creative, more balanced, or more precise options. By selecting a specific tone, you can start a concise and straightforward chat. Enabling GPT-4 changes the theme color to indicate the use of the advanced model. The app also allows you to send feedback, start new topics, and send images. You can even use voice messages to interact with the app.

Apart from these features, Microsoft Copilot offers customization options such as changing the theme to dark mode, selecting different regions and languages, and adjusting privacy settings. You can also delete your account and clear browsing data directly within the app. If you prefer, you can access these settings through the device's settings app.

All in all, the Microsoft Copilot app provides an enticing alternative to the OpenAI ChatGPT app. It offers access to advanced models like GPT-4 and DALI-3 without requiring an expensive upgrade. Although it may have slightly lower ratings initially, this could be due to its recent release on iOS. Whether the app will be available on Android remains unknown. It's definitely worth giving it a try, especially if paying $20 for the ChatGPT app doesn't seem justified for access to the same set of features.
