Share LIVE LOCATION with FRIENDS in SNAPCHAT - new feature

Snapchat has recently rolled out a new feature that allows you to share your live location with your friends, only if you choose to do so. In this blog post, we will walk you through on how to use this newly added feature step by step. Firstly, go to your chat or your friend's profile. You can only share your live location with people who are on your Snapchat friend's list. Therefore, it's critical that you choose only close friends or family members to share your real-time location. After selecting your friend, access Snap Map from your chat or your friend's profile. Tap on the "Share My Live Location" button. Then, choose the duration for how long you want your friend to see your real-time location. You can choose from three options - 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 8 hours. Unfortunately, it's not possible to enable sharing for 24 hours or indefinitely. For instance, if you select 15 minutes, your friend can see your location for only 15 minutes. After the chosen duration is over, your friend won't be able to track your location anymore. Additionally, you can stop sharing your location anytime you want. It's essential to make sure that you have enabled location and notifications on your device for this feature to work. It'll prompt you to turn on your location, only if it isn't enabled. Similarly, if you haven't allowed notifications for Snapchat, it will ask for permission before enabling this feature. In conclusion, this new feature of Snap Map manages to balance functionality and privacy by allowing you to share your location with selective friends for a limited time. By following these simple steps, you can enable this feature and let your friends know where you're at with just a few taps. Make sure to use it cautiously and judiciously!
