In this video, let's go through the full overview of Snapchat Plus. Should you upgrade, what you should expect, in which countries is it available, and everything you should know. So, how to get access to Snapchat Plus. Basically it's a monthly subscription which costs you $3.99 per month. There are also six months and twelve months plans if you want to subscribe like that.

But this is kind of like a premium version of Snapchat. It was just released just like a few days ago. It's kind of still in a testing period, similar as you have YouTube, Premium, on Twitter, Blue or some other services. All of these apps trying to put you also on some additional subscription. They want to grow their additional revenue sources and users want to get access to some premium features.

So to get access, first you need to make sure you have the latest updated version of Snapchat. So update Snapchat and then you will see open instead of update. So do that. Then make sure that your Snapchat account is in one of those countries. United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

And more countries will be added soon. But if you're located outside of these countries, unfortunately you won't be able to upgrade. So that's what it is, unfortunately. That's that. So when you have upgraded your app and you located, for example, in US, let's just show you where in the app you should see this button.

So here I have my account. Tap in top left on your profile, then in top right, tap on your icon, scroll bottom, and then you will see this new Snapchat Plus tab. So this is where you upgrade your account to Snapchat Plus. This is where you can choose a subscription. So as I said, there is a monthly subscription, $399 per month, half a year for $22, and then twelve months for $39.99.

And then there is seven day free trial for each of those plans. So it doesn't matter if you subscribe for a year or you subscribe for a month, you will have a seven day free trial. So you can try this subscription for seven days. If you don't like it, just cancel it. So that's pretty cool offer from Snapchat.

Totally makes sense. It's a new offering from them, so you never know if you like it or not.

So now let's just learn more and discover what is it for you or not. Before that, you can always tap on three dots on top right. You can always reach out to Snapchat support and then just ask them. You can restore purchases. It's a standard practice.

If you bought this subscription on old phone and you change your phone, you can easily transfer to this device. So tap learn more. And here, let's just go through the overview of what you expect for $399 per month. So it's not like one dollars, it's not $2. So it's like $4.

It's not that much. Of course it's less than Netflix, but it's just a bit less than Disney Plus. So should you get it.

So first of all, Snapchat Plus doesn't remove ads. So don't confuse it with like YouTube Premium where you buy premium package and you have no ads anymore like in Snapchat Plus. You will still have ads for now, maybe they will change it in future. But Snapshot Plus subscribers will have access to some premium cool features. So here are some exclusive features.

Ghost Trails on the map as a Snapshot Plus subscriber, you can see where your friends have been in the last 24 hours with Ghost Trails. You'll only see ghost trails for friends on the map if they are making their location visible to you and they have access to Snapchat bus in their country.

So you can clear your own ghost trail by toggling ghost mode on then off in your Snap map settings. So something like that you will see this overview and then you will see these cost trails. So that's one feature. Other feature is Best Friends Forever. You can pin your best friends so you can pin your friend as your number one best friend and then just pin this friend in the top of your messages.

So there are some screenshots so you can go to Tech Crunch and read more about it. So here you can just tap and hold on your friend's name and then it will pin your chat with this friend in the top of your chat. You can only do it with one friend at this moment, so that kind of can be useful. Then Story Watch Indicator you will see Ice Emoji under stories that one or more friends have rewatched. As long as the store has more than one view.

You can see how many friends revoked Snaps.

To see if anyone has rewarded your story you have posted. Tap on it. Then swipe up the number next to the Ice emoji counts how many friends have rewatched the story and the total number of times it has been rewatched. So here you can see some screenshots and then you can tap on that emoji and then that's basically the idea. Custom App Icons then you can just customize your unique appearance for your Snapchat app icon on your phone's home screen.

So just go to your profile, tap your Snapshot Plus membership card at the top, tap App icon and choose any app icon you'd like. It's only available on iOS right now. It should be available on Android soon. There are all these bunch of icons. It's super fun and it works really well.

You don't need to use some like widgets and stuff like that where you need to have additional click and it's pretty annoying. So here it should work very natively and quite fun. Snapchat Plus Badge you can add more flour to your display name with a Black Star badge this lets your friends know your Snapchat Plus subscriber. This badge is off by default, but here's how to make it appear. Just go to your profile, tap on Snapchat Plus membership card at the top toggle on Snapchat Plus badge.

Yeah, so that's cool. So basically when you upgrade to Snapchat Plus, you will see the Snapchat Plus membership card in your profile and then Friends solar system.

I don't know what's that you will see a best friend or friend's batch with a gold ring around it on someone's friendships profile. Best friends means you're one of each other's eight closest friends and Friends means you're one of the eight closest friends, but they're not one of yours.

Tapping on the page will show you which planet you are in their solar system, with each planet representing a different position in their best friend's list. So that's what you can see here.

And this is some of the preview. You can see this pop up with planets.

Yeah, so that's basically the idea.

And then probably Snapchat will add more features to make Snapchat more fun for you.

We can also just go to recent really nice overview on TechCrunch. But here again the ads are still there.

And their friends also enable Snapchat Plus and they will enable these ghost trails. So let's see. But anyway, this is how it works.
